Athitzi is a surprising tangle. It looks like "so?" when you look at the steps, but once you start doing it, you get such nice terraced layers with the promise of real enhancement with shading. I know I will use this one again. There is little thinking involved and it is so relaxing to draw.
For my New-To-Me "M" tangle, there were several nice ones that caught my eye. I love Miasma, which I plan to use later this week with Quandary so I can post on the Square One FB page. Haven't gotten that far yet. But the one I really liked was Minline by Mei Hua Teng (Damy), whose work I am totally in love with.
In the interest of killing two birds with one stone (metaphorically speaking only - I couldn't do that!), I decided to combine my efforts. Here is what I got - Athitzi and Minline.
I love that! I have a flowery version in the works. I love this pattern and the little bit of color. Well done!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely combination of patterns. I do love the texture of athitzi.
ReplyDeleteInteresting pattern choices. Nice tile! Thanks for taking part in the challenge!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! Love how light and airy the drawing is and your shading is so perfect!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful way to use both these tangles. I love the auras of athitz. I agree that this one will go into the rotation as with shading it really can fill many possibilities! Lovely tile!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful! I love how you used Athitzi as an aura. I will probably use that some time. ;) I have never seen Minline before. It is very nice! I love how you worked the two together. I'll have to look at the step-outs for it.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning. Elegant and clear beauty. I love it! :)
ReplyDeleteFantastic!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tile. I love the way you shaded to make it look so layered with lovely depth. Patience, you must have a lot to have done so many tiny lines of Athitzi. Perfectly done in the round!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jean. At first I thought this could get really boring really fast. But it didn't! I had to stop myself from doing more!
DeleteOh! another Damy pattern! I love tofube bye Damy. Now I'll ad miniline to my pattern practice. This tile has so much peaceful energy. Like...serene in the center, while all around it things are tingly. Makes sense, right? Good job!
ReplyDeleteHS, you should look up her patterns on Pinterest. I have a bunch of them saved for reference. The girl has an amazing mind!
DeleteWow! Absolutely gorgeous! Wonderful depth!
ReplyDeleteThe way you turned this tangle into aurua's is great!!!
ReplyDeleteNice combination of patterns! Looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love the design and feel of your beautiful Tile, Antonine. Wonderful depth and subtle vibrancy. Delightful.
ReplyDeleteWonderful job on combining them!! I haven't gotten to Diva yet (decided to not kill the birds myself :) )

ReplyDeleteVery pretty tile! I love the combination of the openness of Minline with the detail of the tiny lines. Beautiful touch of colour, and great shading.
ReplyDeleteNice use of the UMT. Like the organc nature of your Zendala.
