Moving on... :-)
I have been working on a new tangle that I thought I would share.
I was flipping through a home décor magazine when I spotted the most fantastic wallpaper ever. It is straight out of Zentangle-land, and would be ever so gorgeous on a black tile. The pattern is by Kelly Wearstler, and she calls it "Crescent". Really? It doesn't look anything like OUR Crescents! I think it looks like falling water.
I worked on deconstructing it, and here is what I came up with. I call it CRESTFALLEN. Hope you like it!
Thank you for stopping by and sharing your thoughts and comments with me.
Namaste -
Antonine
Antonine, I see fun balloons about to take flight! Crestfallen looks fantastic. I really like the way it resembles a mountain.
ReplyDeleteA lovely mariage :-)
ReplyDeleteYour new tangle looks great too!
OMG (as my kids would say)...how creative and well drawn! It's easy to see why they have a bouncing baby BunDexZo as they seem to be engaging in, umm. congugal relations (Can I say that in public?) :-). Your work is always a delight and makes me smile - as does the story that goes with it.
ReplyDeleteNow I have to go try Crestfallen. Looks like a fun tangle to do.
HeHe, I wasn't thinking of that when I drew it, but you are right! Let's not say it too loud or the blog police will hear!
DeleteWow, Antonine, you made an awesome Tango out of Bunzo and Dex. Love the 3-D look. Very dynamic. Love your new pattern, "CrestFallen." Very well done Step-Out sheet. Watch for your wonderful new pattern to appear in Blogs near you. Beautiful work.
ReplyDeleteThanks, David! I can't wait to see what wonders you create with my new tangle!
DeleteDas ist eine sehr schöne Fliese für "I am the Ddiva" das sieht aus wie Ballonhüllen beim Lust ablassen
ReplyDeleteAntonine, your Bunzo/Dex duotangle reminds me of a landing space capsules from days gone by. Very cool! I love your Crestfallen tangle...the name is perfect. Will have to give it a try...it has a very art deco feel to it.
ReplyDeleteI also thought of hot air balloons inflating. Aren't you in the southwest. May be you were unknowing influenced by the big balloon gathering out there. Like the new tangle. has some interesting possibilities.
ReplyDeleteYes I am in Arizona, but the big balloon festival is next door in New Mexico. My daughter used to live there, and it was really lovely. I'd love to see what you could do with Crestfallen. I know it would be wonderful!
DeleteGorgeous combination of Dex and Bunzo! I like your tangle "Crestfallen", too! It´s on my To-Do-list now.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like large balloons ithat deflate after they have just completed their course. I like very mush.
ReplyDeleteVery good idea, very well done! I like it!
ReplyDeleteYour take on the duotangle is so clever! And, I love your new pattern and can't wait to add it to a composition. Thanks for sharing it with us!
ReplyDeleteI would love to see Crestfallen in one of your charming creations. Your work is so whimsical and happy!
DeleteLove the new 'tangle'!!! I'll have to give it a try!! Sure wish I had been able to go to CZT, with you and Dave and Amy. I hope it was everything you hoped for! I'll be going for the CZT20. Is there anything you can pass along to help me be prepared? Congrats!!! :0) Annette
ReplyDeleteThanks, Annette! Sorry we didn't get to connect at CZT training, but I kknow you will love every minute. Go with an open heart and soak in everything you see and hear. Be sure to stop at the church next door to see their beautiful stained glass and painted angels. It is lovely!
DeleteI love your baby, Antonine! So very clever and works really well! As for the new tangle, it looks incredible and I will definitely be giving it a go!
ReplyDeleteAxxx

Great tile. You really became creative for this challenge! Nice work. Thanks for the deconstruction I will try it out! If I post a tangle I use it in I will message you. Sarah
ReplyDeleteLovely Diva response. I like the new tangle and have added it to my book.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely an awesome hybrid baby. I'm not sure how they got crescent moons out of the wallpaper pattern, but I really like the way you deconstructed it. I can see it becoming one of my "go to" tangles.
